While some might argue that asking for customer feedback is asking for trouble, there is no denying that finding out what you are doing right, and what you are doing wrong, can help your business journey towards success. Success these days is dependent upon word of mouth recommendations, especially in the case of social media where a bad review of your business might cost you dear.
Here are 4 methods you can use to get customer feedback:
The easiest way to get customer feedback is to simply email someone who has bought from you recently and asking them a few simple questions.
Set up an account with a company such as Survey Monkey to send out customer feedback surveys to your client database. They offer a free service for a survey with up to 10 questions, or a paid for service which is unlimited. These are easy for a customer to fill in as all they have to do is click the mouse against the answers and send the emailed survey off.
3. Social media
This can be time consuming, but monitor social media platforms to see what people are saying about you. Big corporations have full time staff doing this, and it can be a great way to provide customer service.
4. Site analytics
This is performed by putting an analytical HTML code into your website to see who is visiting your site, how long they stay, which pages they find most of interest and much more. There are plenty of analytical tools available, but Google Analytics is one of the most popular.
Once you have your feedback, don’t just run your eyes over it and do nothing with it. Take on board what your customers are saying about you and use their comments to improve your services.
